One MERLIN zipped south, past the shore of Grand Isle (22-June)
at light speed - to fast to be noticed by any swallows except
for the two Barn Swallows that sounded the alarm. Typically,
Cliff and Tree Swallows would also swarm after Cooper's Hawks.
Two Cooper's Hawk nestlings seem old enough to start climbing
out of the nest, but prefer to snooze on these hot afternoons.
Tree Swallow nestlings here have ALL survived the rainy spell
and are ready to fledge.
