Was Kayaking Arrowhead Lake this AM. Beautiful AM, foggy, sunny. Just
wonderful. A very good time.
Heard or saw:

Pied-billed grebe
American bittern
Great Blue heron
Canada Goose
Wood Duck with young
poss Gadwall with young
Mallard with young
Merganser with young (trying to make it a Red-breasted)
2 Osprey nests both on natural stumps in the water
Virginia Rail
Common Snipe
Ring-billed Gull
Mourning Dove
Belted Kingfisher
Least Flycathcer
Warbling Vireo
Red-eyed Vireo
Blue Jay
Amer Crow
Tree swallow
Bank Swallow
Barn Swallow
(there were probably Rough-winged Sallows there too, but not sure)
