All,

This is my first posting to the list serve, so I hope it all goes well. I
wish to let anyone who is interested, know, that there will be a
International Migratory Bird Day event at the Missisquoi National Wildlife
Refuge on Saturday, May 10 beginning at 7:30 AM. We would ask that anyone
wishing to participate in a trail walk, canoe/kayak paddle, or motorboat
tour (very limited opportunities) contact the refuge and register at
802-868-4781. We complete a general tally of the birds heard and/or
observed on each of the venues and then total all species and numbers
encountered over a light lunch which is sponsored by the Friends of
Missisquoi National Wildlife Refuge. Water levels are very high this year
and portions of our trails are inundated so there may be some abbreviated
walks, but the walks are nevertheless, enjoyable at any length. We meet
at the refuge headquaters at 29 Tabor Rd. Swanton VT at 7:30 AM for a
briefing and distribute from there. Please dress for the weather and
waterproof boots are a must. Thanks, and I look forward to seeing you.
