Today I had my first "encounter" with a fan boat! Noisy to say the least
and what would appear self evident, unnecessary on a water body such as
Lake Bomoseen. Waterfowl took flight at the boat's approach but how many of
them did not return is uncertain.
Lake Bomoseen-Castleton (2360 acres), Rutland, US-VT
Nov 28, 2011 8:55 AM - 12:00 PM
Protocol: Stationary
Comments: Temperature 54 degrees F. Fan boat circled the lake at
speed and a high decibel level disturbing the waterfowl. Observations made
from 9 stations around the lake.
