While checking on the Pied-billed Grebe nest off Route 73 in Brandon, I heard a Yellow-billed Cuckoo in the willow shrubs adjacent to the road. Later on Willow Brook Road in Sudbury I heard and then observed a Black-billed Cuckoo.
Incidentally, the grasses/sedges have grown too thick to see the Pied-billed Grebe nest. However, two adults were observed, [no chicks], and a third bird heard only from a different locality.
