Led by a report from Julie and David Filiberti of 4200 Canada Geese at
the Missisquoi Bay Bridge, birders on the Vermont side of Lake Champlain
counted and reported to eBird 10,454 Canada Geese in the Champlain Basin
yesterday, March 24th.

At the Champlain Bridge a group of 2280 Common Merganser, mostly males,
dominated a variety of waterfowl in the small area of open water there.

Numerous reports of dabblers included American Wigeons, Northern
Pintails, Green-winged Teal, Gadwalls, Mallards, American Black Ducks,
and Wood Ducks.
