Hello fellow VTBIRD listservers!

I would like to invite you, on behalf of the Green Mountain Audubon Society, to a virtual presentation featuring birdsong expert and ornithologist Donald Kroodsma and hosted by the North Branch Nature Center. Dr. Kroodsma is a professor emeritus of ornithology at the University of Massachusetts and has authored books such as "The Singing Life of Birds" and "Birdsong by the Seasons".

The program will take place on Wednesday January 13th, 2021 from 7:00 to 8:00 PM and is sponsored by the Green Mountain Audubon Society, Hunger Mountain Co-op, Onion River Outdoors, GreenVest, Union Mutual, and Capitol Copy.

Follow the link below to join the Zoom Meeting on the appropriate date and time or to learn more about the event and Donald in advance:

Although most of the iconic songbirds of spring have flown south for the winter it is never too early to talk about nature's marvelous melody! Tune in next Wednesday night to learn about the complexity of bird song, song dialects, mimicry and more!

It should be a fun evening and we hope to see you there!

Stay safe and happy birding,

Jacob Crawford
