Shortly before noon I walked in Middlebury down South Street from  
Main to the athletic fields; a male yellow bellied sapsucker flew  
from tree to tree beside me for 10 minutes or so.  Pics here:

Also saw a bluebird on Green Street just north of Route 17 on my way  
home to Vergennes.
