Location:     The Gables at East Mountain
Observation  date:     3/20/10
Notes:     Two Tree Swallows  and a pair of Eastern Bluebirds investigating 
four potential nesting  boxes.

Location:     Lake Bomoseen-Castleton (2360  acres)
Observation date:     3/20/10
Notes:   Observations made from four stations around the lake. Lake still  
about 95% frozen.  Open water increasing along shoreline.   Red-shouldered 
hawk seen and heard in same area that a pair nested three years  ago.

Notes:      Upper end of the lake is now completely open water.  Sixty-five 
of the  Canada Geese were in a single skein heading north.

migrating. Paused momentarily on a  snag in front of observer! Common Grackles also 
appeared to be  migrating.
