Both yesterday and today we spotted a meadowlark in a field on the north side of
Hawkins Road as we were heading west to Kingsland Bay state park in Ferrisburgh.
It was a mile or less from the entrance. The bird was quite near the road both days
and easily spotted.

As we skied through the park we also encountered 5 or 6 bluebirds both days.
