On Lavigne Hill this morning in Hinesburg, there was a great party going on! It started, of course, with SONG SPARROWS and the tea kettle.....followed by an unexpected guest, the TOWHEE (and great looks of him singing "drink, drink TEA"). Next to sing was the YELLOW WARBLER wanting the tea a little more sweet! Just as I thought it couldn't get any sweeter, along came the COMMON YELLOWTHROAT. Also present and singing were GRAY CATBIRD, ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAK and WARBLING VIREO.....a total of 30 species in 70 minutes as the sun started to warm the hillside, 5 FOY, and all before having to get to work! What a great way to start my day!

EnJOYing birds,

Ali
