Warbler activity was somewhat low at Shaw Mountain in Benson this morning, but the thrushes, Rose-breasted Grosbeaks and Scarlet Tanagers were singing up a storm. Two Virginia Rails were heard in the adjacent marsh.
Gaps in the birding were filled in with the wonderful wildflowers.
