My son Eli just phoned.  He and a friend had a "very white" Snowy Owl 
with "brilliant" yellow eyes land 10 feet from them on Button Island (in 
Button Bay, Lake Champlain).  It stayed for a few minutes, then flew off 
south over the lake.
