Passenger Pigeons numbered in the billions in the 19th century, yet by 1914 they
were extinct. In this program author and naturalist Joel Greenberg will recount
the story of the Passenger Pigeon's demise as described in his excellent book A
Feathered River Across the Sky: The Passenger Pigeon's Flight to Extinction.
This lecture will highlight the important lessons the Passenger Pigeon's story
presents for those of us living in the 21st century.
This program is free and open to the public. However, donations would be
appreciated to defray the cost of the program.
