Hi VTBirders!

We had a very productive bird walk at NBNC this morning under a heavy
blanket of fog. Large mixed-species flocks were moving quickly through the
tree tops and we only saw a portion of all the birds present. But 8
warbler species and 4 vireo species (Philadelphia, Red-eyed, Warbling, and
Blue-headed) were amongst those we *did *see well enough to ID! The other
highlight was a juvenile Cooper's Hawk perched at close range along the
community garden. Full bird list is at:

Good birding,
Larry

Larry Clarfeld, we will explore all of these aspects of being a naturalist
through evening lectures and extended field excursions. Click
