A wave of yellow-rumped warblers came through the neighborhood near my
office in Corinth (Cookeville) today. One landed on the windowsill right
next to my desk and for a brief moment I was able to study it for a
moment-looking down on the top of its yellow-topped head. Very neat to see
one so very close. This is one hearty species! Like the last of the
hummingbirds it is interesting to note when the last YRW leave the state.
