Yesterday (5/20), there was an amazing concentration of shorebirds at the
mouth of Charcoal Creek, just west of Missisquoi NWR. On the east side of
the Bay in a manure pit were 4 Semipalmated Sandpipers and 1 Solitary
Sandpiper. Out at the far end of the Bay were 4 Dunlins, 12 Short-billed
Dowitchers, 1 Greater Yellowlegs, 1 Lesser Yellowlegs, 43 Semipalmated
Plovers, 12 Black-bellied Plovers, and a few Least Sandpipers. Also 1
Common Tern, 1 Caspian Tern, and 1 Ring-necked Duck.

Allan
