Thanks to everyone for your "favorites."  My head filled with pictures and
bird song as I went through the list.  While I cannot choose just one, I'd
ditto the Cedar Waxwing for its subtle and classy plumage, Canyon and Winter
Wrens for pure music, and Northern Harrier for sheer beauty in flight.

Subject: [VTBIRD] Avian Beauty Contest

Great snowy owl photos - what a beautiful bird!  Looking at the pictures
brings to mind what may appear to be a really dumb question: What is the
best looking bird you have ever seen?  We realize that this is on the same
order as asking "What is your favorite color?", but it still might be fun to
compile a list.  We have seen over 700 bird species all over the place; the
snowy owl is probably pretty near the top of our list.
