Eric's post yesterday estimated 1,500 crows preparing to roost near the
Flynn Ave. railroad tracks; this afternoon between 3:45 and 4:15pm between
Lowe's and Hannafords on Shelburne Rd and the railroad tracks behind them a
massive number of still vocal crows were gathering; 150 were on the ground
in Lowe's back truck delivery area and on the roof; another 150 were in the
trees just south of Lowe's, and all were moving to join the huge number
back of Hannafords towards the tracks. Each tree there had at least 60
crows, and I think Eric's numbers of yesterday were at least matched today.
Quite a sight--and sound! Nancy Goodrich, Shelburne
