Maybe it will join the lone Snow goose at the Bay. The Snow Goose was still
there Tuesday at the grassy patch on the rock outcrop by the boat ramp.
It appears to be in good health, reluctant to move on, maybe lost a mate
during hunting season. Several years ago a wounded goose was stranded on
Danby Pond, unable to fly from its injury, succumbed to its injury but its
mate refused to leave. It did make it thru the winter at the adjoining dairy
farm feed lot and eventually moved on the next summer.

Thanks to Ted, Doug and Jim for your informative postings on the "White"
Gulls. I took time off from work on Tuesday and made the trip to Grand
Isle. How appropriate OR NOT that it was in an ice storm that I found the
ICELAND GULL & GLAUCOUS GULL at Sandbar State Park. Many gulls there,
several hundred. And the 5 juv. Mute Swans were south of the ferry on
Tuesday.
