Was at Crown Point Park near the museum this afternoon and saw a large raptor in a tree near the open water around the Champlain Bridge. Lots of geese and ducks there too.   My first thought was a bald eagle, but the bird did not have the distinctive white head and tail, was more mottled black and white.  A juvenile eagle?  Are the Ospreys back?  There is a nest near there.   Will take binocs over next time and try for a better look.
