On August 22, by my house:

YOUTHFUL UNDERWING (Catocala subnata) (1)

This was definitely not The Bride (Catocala neogama). I cooled it in the
fridge, then looked at it through a microscope. The hind tibia were cylindrical,
as well as densely and evenly spined. The base of the FW was also quite
light, not heavily marked.

On August 23, at Dead Creek Wildlife Management Area:

CHICKWEED GEOMETER (Haematopis grataria) (2)
