Greetings, VTLepsters:

The 2003 VBS field season got underway this week when Carolyn Bushey sent
me a photograph of a Milbert's Tortoiseshell (Nymphalis milberti) from her
garage in Sheldon Springs on Monday, March 17. (That would be the Sheldon
Springs quadrangle in VBS Block # 3, for those who keep track of this sort
of thing, which should be all of us.)

The photo will go into the VBS records as Voucher 6001. See it for yourself
at http://www.vermontbirdtours.com/milbert.jpg.

Onward to another season. Kent McFarland and I were busy Thursday preparing
new survey materials for all project volunteers. They should arrive in the
mail next week.

Best,
Bryan Pfeiffer
