For those of you organic growers who almost always lose some (or most!) 
of your early peas to seed rot, I have some interesting news: I planted 
caseload and maxigolt peas back in late April. For half of each variety 
I treated the seed with Rootshield WP. I just put it dry in a  bucket 
with the peas and shook them up and then planted. About two level 
tablespoons in about 10# of peas. The results were very significant: 
about 60% of the treated peas made it, whereas only about 30% of the 
untreated came up. Rows are side by side and in all other ways equal. 
I'm really impressed. I think next year I may get the peas just a tiny 
bit moist so the Rootshild sticks and coats better. (Vern, please note 
that I actually used a proper control so this is not anecdotal only.)
