We are about to run some starch extracted from wood onto filters. In the
past for similar work requiring filters we have used glass fiber filters,
but they form a molten ball of glass in the furnace. Recently we ran some
quartz fiber filters and they seemed to work well and the ash could easily
be vacuumed out of the EA furnace. Are quartz filters a viable alternative
to glass fiber?
Thanks in advance,
Paul D. Brooks.
