I am a vascular surgeon.
I prefer to read from the video tape as there are many many more views
that help to fill in the picture for me. We also do hard copy which
supplements the tape.
I once asked someone about tape Vs hard copy. Their observations were
that radiologists usually read from hard copy as they are used to it. One of
our radiologists simply said it takes too long to read from tape.
Also the comment was that for hard copy the technologist had better know
what the reading physician needs and wants and thereadin physician better
know his technologist.
Lastly I agree it is a dynamic study. It cannot be well represented on
hard copy ESP B&W.
