I agree, it is not an accurate method. There are many reasons why you can not
measure the real volume flow in veins accurately. However, this measurements
can be higly REPEATABLE if done in the right segment (between the valves), and
duration of the measurement is long enough. Other important issue is the
standard conditions of measurements.
I will fax you the reference I have.
For flowneter: is anybody there work on this issue?
