The ICAVL requires correlations between the Carotid Duplex and a validating
study. I'd like to know what labs are doing when there are non-correlations.
Are both modalities over read (in the case of angio) when this occurs? How
is the info communicated to the Medical Directors and technical staff? If
there is an error, is an addendum sent to the referring physician on the
original exam? What are the non-research labs finding to be the average
correlation between the carotid and angio?
