Just a thought and a couple of questions.....
If sonographers are to succeed it is imperative that we "manage" the
whole lab and not get lost in the narrow view of "clinical knowledge" as
our only concern. We can't take care of anybody if our lab goes broke.
That is why we send in our dues to societies that have arms to the
controlling agencies that decide on reimbursement issues. Are you still
with me, Mr. Clinician?
Ya know when that yard boy comes around and wants to start the season
with a good "scalping" of your front yard? Guess who that benefits? The
grass? No. It benefits the Yard boy. When you throw in another person
in the payment for your beloved scanner, ie the Leasing company, guess
who benefits? The patient? No, the leasing company. IMHO....
I"ve tried to lease many times, I take the data to my CPA, my banker and
say "what would you do if you wanted XYZ scanner.... lease, borrow & pay
interest, buy outright, etc. In thirteen years Leasing was always the
last option.....ummmmmmmm Can you help me see the rational, anyone???
The smoke and mirrors about Tax savings and administrative structural
accounting procedures seems vague to me.
