At Morrisville we have tested serveral products and are going to implement
iPrism by Internt Products. It a a hardware solution that sits between the
firewall and the rest of the network. It also could be a firewall for you,
but not the best solution.

>Would using the filtering built into browsers be good enough
>(especially given that smart kids might be able to re-do these settings)?
The iPrusm is a very nice system that allows us to apply internet filtering
levels by either a user or group and we can import our users database into
the iPrism software. Also it keeps track of booksmarks for each user and
allows the booksmarks to rome around with them on the system at what ever
computer they sit at ( either mac or pc) .
We are now going to go this route.
