AWESOME! well we made it back (about 3 pm to burlington), warm weather,
sunny for a little bit and VERY WINDY at the top! decent view but limited
because of the clouds. Me and Peter Duval were enjoying the wind seeing
how far we could lean over and have the wind hold us up! Then after a nice
lunch (oout of the wind!) we ehaded back down. Now for me the trip down
was very exciting. The burrows trail is the coolest 2 mile sledding
hill! The trail is 2.4 miles but you have to walk .4 more or less for flat
spots and uphill. Other than that is all down hill! the first half mile is
hair raising to say the least! the rest 1.5 miles is a realxing slide back
down to the car :) Luckly i hit no trees on the way down! Call me a kid if
you want but i think it was one groovy trip!
I must be getting old because i am tired now!
Several of you expressed interest in going but for mostly midterm reason
could not make it. If you are really interested in a winter snowshow there
are easier place to hike than the top of third highest mountain in the
state, i know several that offer great views and are more sooted to
beginner hikers. Camels would be fun to do in september. Keep it in mind
and let me know if anyone is interested. See you friday at movie night!
