I have a question to the group. We perform treadmill testing to bring on
symptoms of claudication routinely. I thought there was an article/book
stating if resting ABI's are 0.4 or less, treadmill is not necessary. We
a lady with blue toes and resting ABIs of 0.56 and 0.45 accordingly. We did
not exercise her feeling the diagnosis was made. Our vascular surgeon said
we should have exercised her although it hurt her to walk on her feet. What
do you all say and any Vascular surgeons out there??
