Feeling fun and frisky this morning, so I thought I'd play the devil's
advocate for a moment.
Regarding ICAVL, AIUM and ACR accreditation pathways:
Competition is inevitable and is almost always a good thing, since it
forces the competing "teams" to continuously improve their respective
products to remain viable. For example, we all learned in history class
that Ford developed the first automobile. Thank goodness this great
nation allows and encourages free enterprise (and thus competition).
Otherwise we'd all be driving price-fixed, quality-optional Fords!
I'm not saying one accreditation pathway is better over all of the
others. Rather, I'm suggesting that we look at the value in our right
to choose, and consider the lessons we can learn from our competition.
Now, bring on the torpedoes!
