Here is a repeat of the original statement and Michelynn's respons:
-"No, it doesn't mention librarians or their services specifically,
but with any luck CEO's will read between the lines."

"Why be so passive and rely on luck? ...why keep what we do so
well a secret and resent those who don't know it. It
would be simple enough to attach a post-it to the article
(with a library logo, of course)..."

And I am in full agreemnt. I just spent time on copying, re-formating and
devising a one-page handout, that is going to be mailed to all hospital
mailing slots and stuffed in all doctors' boxes. We already have the EBM
via OVID, but it doesn't hurt to0 "push"/remind, and so much more helpful to
rely on sources such as the (National) Institute of Medicine and the Wall
Street Journal. I also afixed the Library's name and resource to the page,
and ordered the report mentioned (a 300 p., harcover,"Crossing the Quality
Chasm: a new health system for the 21st century" from the National Academy
Press $39).
