I had a similar need recently, to buy a copy
of Office 2000 Professional just after Office XP
was released.
After a web search, primarily checking sites
listed on Microsoft's web site as resellers
(found - as vendors for Office 2000 Pro -
* game software sites
* resellers who did not have 2000 Pro listed
* a range of prices for those that did list it )
Best deal was on [egghead.com] - selling off
the last of their copies of the OEM version of
Office 2000 - under $400 while most places
wanted $100 + more than that for a retail copy.
Same KIND of thing may be available for an
"out of date" copy of [NT 4.0 client].
