The primary file server for the ZOO UNIX Cluster will be unavailable on
Wednesday, August 1st, 2001 from 10pm until 5am August 2nd.
We will be installing a large new fiber-channel RAID disk array, and
performing software updates.
All email services except pine (e.g. POP, IMAP, Webmail) will continue to
work during that time period.
Zoo host client machines will be down during this time also for OS
upgrades, so host based applications like pine, Mathematica, Maple,
ArcView, etc ... will be unavailable. PC and Mac Zoo file services will
also be off-line during the upgrade.
Parts of the UVM web will be unavailable too, but the top-level website
should still be available, to inform people about the maintenance window.
