Hi everyone,

Thanks to everyone who attended the picnic on thursday -- I had a great
time playing with fire, and for the first time _ever_ in the history of
the cssa picnic ALL hamburger buns were used up, we ran out of forks,
plates and napkins. An unmitigated success, if you ask me. =)

The list is kind of quiet this year, in fact I am the only one who's even
sent mail out this year.... what's going on? We usually get more traffic,
and with all the stuff going on right now, such as talk of outlawing
cryptography unless there's a backdoor for the government (oh my GOD) I'd
like to see more conversation going on, but hey maybe that's just me.

This is a two-way list, not just my soapbox =)

PS If anyone has a request as to a seminar they'd like to see, please let
me know. I know that Leslie Damon has offered to give the talk she gave
last year again on 'what kind of cs area is your personality suited to' (I
hope that's right) and I could definitely go to that again & give all of
you (including NATE) that missed it a chance to enjoy...

I know CS is planning seminars, but they're all going to be during the
day, and for people with day jobs that isn't always the most convenient
thing.
