Well, we have an exciting slate of events coming up:
Sept. 22nd--A HIKE ON MT. ELMORE! We'll have a reading or two at the
top from your favorite Greek or Latin (or any other, preferably
"dead," language).
Oct. 17, 3:35--a lecture by world-renowned Plato scholar Nick Smith,
who is also a great lecturer!
Nov. 3rd--a trip to the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. The Art Dept.
is sending a bus and there are seats. This one may cost a buck or
two. We need those interested to sign up in the classics office!
Nov. 7-21, the Royall Tyler Theater at UVM is putting on Aristophanes' BIRDS!!!
Let's all go!
Nov. 12th--Pizza and Aristophanes!! A reading of THE FROGS--come
prepared to read. More details later.
Nov. 29--a showing of Oh Brother, where art thou, that Cohen Bros.
film based loosely on the Odyssey.
