You are cordially invited to attend the 2001 Planning Celebration, on
Friday, October 26, at the Capitol Plaza Hotel in Montpelier, 9 a.m. to 2
p.m. This event will feature successful planning projects across the state,
and will be a chance to break from our day to day struggles with land use
issues and celebrate our successful planning endeavors. The attached flyer
describes the event in more detail.
Please sign up for the event now and forward this message to all your
constituents, colleagues, commission members, friends, etc. Citizen
planners from municipalities and regional planning commissions in Vermont
are particularly encouraged to attend.
The Planning Celebration will feature opening comments from Lieutenant
Governor Doug Racine, a slide presentation highlighting good examples of
site planning in Vermont by the Vermont Forum on Sprawl, and presentations
from a variety of communities large and small, describing planning efforts
that will inspire, instruct and encourage those attending. Storyteller,
Willem Lange will speak during the luncheon followed by the Vermont Planners
Association outstanding planner/project awards.
Cost of the event (including breakfast and lunch) is $15.00. Additional
