I *REALLY* don't know what's the purpose of the vacuum tubes you're
looking for, but ...
... "modern" amplifiers used by musicians -- especially those who
like to play loud rock music on an electric guitar -- make heavy use of
tubes instead of transistors. Tubes are "State of the Art" in this field.
Just ask the guys in your local music store. There still is a large number
of models available, and they are still produced and constantly "improved"
-- usually in order to give rise to distorsion!
Like I said, I really don't know ...
Good luck, hope this helps.
