A few weeks ago, a remote exploit was discovered in the Windows XP Home
and Professional operating systems. This exploit, called "the Unchecked
Buffer in Universal Plug and Play" presents a very serious threat to the
integrity of ALL Windows XP installations, and some Windows ME systems.
There is now a patch available for the "Universal Plug and Play Exploit"
in the Windows XP Home and Professional operating systems. Microsoft
encourages ALL XP users to download and install this patch IMMEDIATELY.
Since bandwidth is pretty poor to the Microsoft web site today, we have
mirrored the patch to our local web server. You can get it from:
