Both parents were at the Otter/ Dead Creek nest this morning, carrying in sticks rather than food,
although there is at least one young in the nest. She fussed with the sticks for quite a while
before flying off to gather more. I wonder if the nest was damaged in a storm yesterday, or do they
often redo the nest with young in it?
Also noticed: there were no Warbling Vireos there where they have always been in the past. I
wondered if the recent widening of Basin Harbor Rd. there disturbed them at a critical period.
There were three singing where West Rd. crosses an inlet on the way to Stone Bridge, Panton.
