While I very much miss the singing of the house wrens that annually nested in
our backyard in Shelburne I have some consolation from the winter wren that
sings many times each day in our current backyard and the many black-throated
green warblers that seem to have a territory every 100 yards along the road.
A pair of evening grosbeaks are daily visitors and the cow pastures at the
top of the hill are host to several snipe. I guess I'll manage.
