It was a slow day for leps at Mt. Philo, just the following:
Cabbage White
Eyed Brown -- wet meadow south side
Little Wood-Satyr
Crescent sp.
European Skipper
One that got away looked like a checkerspot, possibly a Harris', flew up
from asters-- nuts!
Also an interesting non-lep found on sumac: bright reddish around head,
irridescent greenish-blue on back/thorax, chocolate wings tipped with
yellow. Very elegant. Approx. size of silver-spotted skipper. Ideas?
Scott
