Victory Bog Important Bird Area (IBA) Boreal Species Count
Join Northeast Kingdom Audubon and Audubon Vermont on Saturday, August 24th
from 8am to noon for the first annual Victory Bog Boreal Species Count. This
Christams Bird Count style event will focus on collecting information on
boreal species at this Vermont IBA. Participants will spend 4 hours
traveling the roads and trails of Victroy Bog in search of Gray Jays,
Black-backed Woodpeckers, Boreal Chickadees as well as a host of other
species which use this IBA. This count is part of the VT IBA Monitoring
Project which looks to involve citizen scientists in the collection of
information at IBAs around the state. Birders of all experience welcome. The
count will be conducted on foot and by car. For more information contact
