A foggy morning at Red Rocks Park, S. Burlington, this AM (9/22/02), with
some decent warbler activity observed by Ted Murin, Jim Osborn, myself, &
daughter Mae-Mae. One good-sized flock near the pumphouse
had, prior to dispersal by a Sharp-shinned Hawk:
plus 1 Confusing Fall Warbler with yellowish underparts that escaped
identification by a famous author (not relocated by others).
Also at same location:
Blue-headed Vireo (1)
Red-eyed Vireo (2-3)
Ruby-throated Hummingbird (1)
Elsewhere yesterday (9/21):
Great Egret (1)-- seen at 65+ mph along I-89 in marsh south of
Champlain Islands exit.
