Does anyone have experience upgrading a domain controller to win2000?
Everything appeared to be going fine on Wednesday and Thursday. Today
no one can access the computer or any of its shared drives.
When you open Active Directory the error is:
Naming information is wrong or your domain is configured wrong. Please
verify that your domain controller is properly configured and that it is
online. AD opens but with a big red X by the book.
AD opens on the other servers, but I can't transfer the operations
masters RID, PDC, or infrastructure roles to another AD server.
Computers can authenticate to the other servers.
When you go to a client's machine - START-RUN and \\neshserv\share
Error: logon failure: the target account name is incorrect.
I can ping this server fine.
All the computers in the Domain log on to Nesh-School. The Domain is
really Neshobe.k12.vt.us. Using nslookup I can resolve names fine.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?
