Michael,
We've been running dozens of FileMaker Pro databases through FileMaker Server
for several years and have never had the corruption problem you mention. On
the other hand, if you simply turn on multi-user mode and share your files
that way, you are opening yourselves up to careless user habits such as
shutting down improperly that have the potential for raising havoc. In my
experience, whenever a FileMaker file becomes damaged, it is almost always
because it was not properly closed.
