I spent some quality time with a late-flying female Bronze Copper (Lycaena
hyllus) at Chimney Point in Addison today (Oct. 17). She posed with me for
lots of nice pictures. Monarchs are still crossing Lake Champlain there,
stopping to nectar (along with the copper) in a nice patch of flowering
alfalfa.
