From the looks of it Bolton Lodge has got a semi-permanent resident at the
moment, and Bryant may, too. At least the person staying at Bolton Lodge
seems pretty neat and tidy... Was just up to do some easy hiking with the
kids up that way on Sunday. Bolton Lodge is lower elevation than Bryant
(about equal with the bottom of the quad in elevation) but is quite nice
now that the roof, and yes, the stove, have been repaired. That work was
done early last fall. You can climb to the ridgeline to the west pretty
easily from there and connect to the Catamount or Long Trail pretty
quickly. Sleeps 8-12 easily.
In any case, even if they lifts don't turn, the Nordic operation will
probably go on in some fashion or another. Not sure if spiffing Bryant
Camp would be any sort of priority or not. Love to spend a night or two
there this winter if anyone wants. Still need to do the haute route...
